Single source publishing (Web and print) is used by Anjac in order to reduce errors to a minimum when working on more than 30.000 SKU's.
The existing graphical chart has been maintained by combining the productivity of Leaflet for rough layout and the power of Indesign for finishing.
Main objectives achieved : Cheaper, Faster, No errors and No layout compromises.

Even when product rotation is less than 15%, it is very common that all pages of an existing catalog are affected.
Therefore, thanks to the efficiency of the Leaflet technology, Anjac is able to generate each time a brand new document of their current product assortment.

The biggest catalog is over 1400 pages and it takes only a few weeks to get the document ready to print.

The workflow can be described as a 3 step process:

1. Inject all products in the Leaflet document according the Storyboard : Page layout is not optimized, but all data is layout according to the chosen product template. This draft is a perfect  toolfor database correction and completion.
2. Balance the pages : product boxes are resized in order to fill the pages at 100% and balance product positioning and sizing according to actual data (number of pictures to display, length of text or size of SKU table).
   Pages are  assembled from a mix of products displayed according to one of the 20 available templates and product tips or info sheets available as EPS or PDF files.
3. Finishing touch in Indesign :  90% of the layout is already done by Leaflet. Picture resizing and repositioning needs to be done in order to maximize the visual attractiveness of each page. This cannot be obtained in a fully automated process. Elements not maintained in the database are also added in this step.
